  • Definition : Gladheidsbestrijdingsvoertuig of -machine met een roterend worm- of schoepenwiel, dat sneeuw van de weg opneemt en een eind ver wegblaast. Toelichting: men onderscheidt: - zijwaartse sneeuwblazers, waarvan het worm- of schoepenwiel zich buiten de lengteas van het voertuig of de machine bevindt; - frontale sneeuwblazers, waarvan het worm- of schoepenwiel zich in de as van het voertuig of de machine bevindt; - dubbele sneeuwblazers. CROW, Nomenclatuur van weg en verkeer (2001): machine met een roterend worm- of schoepenwiel die grote hoeveelheden sneeuw kan wegblazen.
