Strategic Planning Commission
The Strategic Planning Commission is responsible for PIARC's formal strategic planning process, through which it shall oversee the development and implementation of the work program in accordance with its Vision, Mission and Values.
In order to maintain an effective strategic planning process, the Commission shall draw up a four-year plan of action to be implemented through its Strategic Themes, Technical Committees, other partners and particularly the Secretary General.
Goal assigned to the Commission
To identify, develop and promulgate policy and practices that contribute to safer and more effective management and use of road and road transport systems within an integrated sustainable transport context.
Issue
Meet the needs of members for improved road and road transport policy and practices through a systematically developed and monitored technical and supporting work program.
