Under the theme of "Providing a Safe and Sustainable Winter Road Service", the XVth PIARC International Winter Road Congress will offer road professionals a unique knowledge-sharing platform on winter road issues with presentations on technological advances, the state of research and global best practices in winter viability.

After the first International Winter Road Congress, which took place in Berchtesgaden, Germany, in January 1969, PIARC Congresses have become a key event, where all the road experts on these subjects come together.

The XVth Congress in Gdansk will offer technical sessions on topics as varied as road safety and weather information for road users. It will also include an exhibition where equipment suppliers, engineering firms and companies will present their latest developments. Moreover, ten national pavilions will be hosted by PIARC member countries, where delegates and visitors can find out all the latest news in international best practices.
