Patrick Malléjacq
Secretary General of PIARC
The technical experts working in our Committees are one of PIARC's main strengths, and they share their knowledge and experience through technical reports. To date, 24 reports from the 2020-2023 work cycle have already been published, on various topics such as tunnels or disaster management. This is a valuable and very up-to-date resource that we are making available free of charge.
These reports, and those still under development, will be presented at the next World Road Congress in Prague in October 2023. I invite you to consult the official website of the Congress and the Association's website for the latest information on this major event.
In addition, we will be present to present the Congress at the many important meetings of the autumn together with our Czech partners: the SURF conference on pavement surface characteristics (Milan, Italy), the SARF regional road conference (Cape Town, South Africa), the PIARC conference on tunnels (Granada, Spain), and at all our international seminars. Do not hesitate to come and meet us!
Finally, we remind you that our call for papers is still open, until 26 August, and that all road experts and practitioners are invited to check the 49 topics of this call. Contributions may present research work, but also concrete feedback or ongoing experimentation. Anything that interests the road is of interest to the PIARC community!
