Driving Sustainability: Global Leaders Convene to Transform Road Infrastructure

The international workshop "Decarbonized and Resilient Road Infrastructure to Enhance Sustainable Mobility," co-organized by PIARC Italia, Anas S.p.A., and AISCAT, took place on April 24, 2024. The event addressed infrastructure decarbonization and road resilience management. Attendees included representatives from global road administrations, academia, and the transportation sector. Key figures such as President Edoardo Valente and CEO Aldo Isi from Anas S.p.A., President Nazir Alli from PIARC World Road Association, and President Diego Cattoni from AISCAT were present.

The event took place just after hosting PIARC's statutory meetings, and specifically, the Executive Committee meeting.

PIARC's Executive Committee convened in Rome, Italy, on April 22-23, 2024, to strategize goals for 2024 - 2027. Discussions included establishing a new National Committee in Thailand, appointing a President for Technical Committee 1.3 "Finance and Procurement," and selecting four Technical Committee secretaries. Additionally, plans were made to engage Academic members actively. These updates mark significant advancements in PIARC's mission.
