At the meetings of our Association's Council and Executive Committee, held on 5 and 6 November 2024 in Andorra, I had the profound honor of being elected Vice President of PIARC. I am deeply grateful to the members for their trust and confidence in me.

This election represents an invaluable opportunity to serve the Association and to actively engage Senegal and other African nations in PIARC’s initiatives. I am committed to fostering greater collaboration and ensuring that the voices of African countries are well represented in our global efforts.

My discussions with Mrs. Emanuela Stocchi, President of PIARC — whom I warmly congratulate — have reinforced my conviction that vice presidents must serve as ambassadors for the Association, particularly within their respective continents. I look forward to embracing this role with dedication and enthusiasm.
