Slope Risk Guidance for Roads
Slopes are, in general, associated with a greater frequency of failure than other geotechnical assets and a greater threat economically and socially. This report makes a synthesis of risk analysis methods and of vulnerability issues. It presents, in a series of appendices, mitigation measures with their advantages and disadvantages together with a set of case studies.

The General Assembly of the United Nations, on December 11, 1987, designated the 1990s as the International Decade for natural Disaster Reduction (IDNDR). Natural Disaster Reduction - Final Report
The PIARC Working Group G2 was set up in 1990, in response to the United Nations proposal on the International Decade for Natural Disaster Reduction (IDNDR). Contribution to Risk Management of Existing Slopes
