A journey to the Land of covered bridges
The vast areas of Québec which have been settled contain many rivers and tributaries. This natural partition of the new land forced colonists and their descendants to construct numerous bridges. Our ancestors, employing ingenuity rather than engineering, adopted a design that was seen as durable, the covered bridge. Quebec has 88 wooden covered bridges,which represents 57% of Canada's.

Review of UK skid resistance policy
In 2004, the Highways Agency therefore commenced a review to examine all aspects of the skid resistance policy. This paper describes the results of the accident analysis, which has led to a revision of the site categories and ILs and changes to the way that potential maintenance schemes will be evaluated. A database of pavement condition, road geometry, traffic flow and accident data for English trunk roads was constructed for an accident analysis.

Mexico's road network is the backbone of the country's transportation system.
