Term of the Road Dictionary

  • Language : PIARC Road Dictionary / English
  • Theme : Operations Transport General Items
  • Definition : Method of storing items with or without additional loading devices in rows consisting of up to two lines directly on the floor. Note: there is direct access only to the storage units in the top layers of all stacks. Access to storage units in layers below this is restricted (LIFO), but it can become possible after restacking [EN 14943].

  • Definition : Verfahren der Lagerung mit oder ohne zusätzliche Ladevorrichtungen von Teilen in Reihen, bestehend aus bis zu zwei Lagen, direkt auf dem Boden. Anmerkung: ein direkter Zugang besteht nur zu den Lagereinheiten in den oberen Lagen der Stapel. Zugang zu Lagereinheiten in den darunter liegenden Lagen ist eingeschränkt (LIFO), kann aber durch Umstapelung ermöglicht werden [EN 14943].
