texture depth

  • Definition : Distance between the textured road surface and a plane through the peak of the three highest particles within a surface area of the same order of size as the tyre pavement area [ISO].

Rautiefe

  • Definition : Der Abstand zwischen der rauen Straßenoberfläche und einer Ebene durch die Hochpunkte der drei höchsten Stellen innerhalb einer Oberfläche von derselben Größe wie die Reifenaufstandsfläche (ISO). Beachte: 1. Die mittlere Tiefe (MRT) wird als Verhältnis eines vorgegebenen Volumens eines genormten Materials (Sand, “Sandfleckversuch", Glaskugeln) und der Fläche dieses Materials, das über eine Kreisfläche auf der zu untersuchenden Oberfläche verteilt wird, ausgedrückt. 2. Die mittlere Rautiefe, errechnet aus hoch technisierten Messungen mit anderen Versuchsverfahren (besser als der Sandfleckversuch), wird manchmal als "Sensor-gemessene Rautiefe" bezeichnet.
