Biking for the Future

Transportation and mobility are key drivers for prosperity and economic sustainability across the globe. But there is also a darker side to the story. In 2021, the global transportation sector produced more than seven billion metric tons of carbon dioxide (GtCO₂) and passenger cars are the biggest culprit, accounting for approximately 39 percent of the emissions.
