Learn more about the integration of roads into the landscape in the new Routes/Roads

28th January 2021

The new issue of PIARC's magazine "Routes/Roads" is now available online, in paper version and downloadable as a PDF.

This issue of Routes/Roads, prepared with the assistance of Kajsa Ström, landscape architect at the Swedish Road Administration and former Technical Advisor at PIARC's General Secretariat, aims to show, through a series of eight articles, mainly from Scandinavia and the United States, how the integration of roads into the landscape, whether natural or urban, contributes to the overall quality of road use and the driving experience. As an echo, a French historical contribution recalls how much this concern has spanned the centuries, from Roman roads to the most contemporary achievements.

Available online, downloadable as a PDF and in paper version, it is available here: routesroadsmag.piarc.org

Routes / Roads is a quarterly news magazine. The articles present analyses or summaries, recommendations, or the state of practice in a country, on current topics of interest to the Road and Road Transport. Authors may or may not be members of the Association. Articles are peer-reviewed by PIARC Technical Committees or external experts to decide on their publication.

The subscription is offered at a rate of 60 € per year (four issues).
