The resilience of road infrastructure is the central theme of the seminar organized by PIARC, PIARC 4.3 Technical Committee “Earthworks and Earth Structures”, the Russian Federal Highway Agency and the Russian Asphalt Pavement Association (ROSAFAL). This new term explains the adaptation of road infrastructure to external events in such a way as to minimize or avoid the consequences of road closures, as well as to reduce repair costs and increase road safety.

For three days, experts in earthworks will discuss and present the latest advances and the development of new methodologies adapted to the latest challenges. The discussion and exchange of information will take place through case studies, design work and different techniques, which will later be reflected in the TC4.3 reports.

The event is intended for geotechnical and geological engineers, earthworks and road companies, stakeholders in management, risk management and design of structures, as well as for all members of other PIARC Technical Committees.
