Final Reminder: Call for Papers Closing Soon for the 17th World Winter Service and Road Resilience Congress
Published on 30 January 2025 (Updated on 20 February 2025)
The deadline is fast approaching! The exceptional extension of the call for individual papers for the 17th World Winter Service and Road Resilience Congress will close on February 28, 2025. The congress, taking place from March 10 to 13, 2026, in Chambéry, France, will focus on three major topics: Winter Service, Resilience, and Decarbonization.
A significant number of contributions have already been received, and we sincerely appreciate your engagement! To further enrich the discussions, we encourage researchers, practitioners, and experts in the field to take advantage of this final opportunity to submit their work.
Papers should explore innovative case studies, research findings, or practical experiences related to these core themes. Submissions are accepted in English (highly recommended), Spanish, or French and must not exceed 400 words. They should be original and unpublished, avoiding any political, commercial, or promotional references, and without brand names in titles or texts.
All papers will be reviewed anonymously by PIARC’s Technical Committees, and authors will be notified of the decision by April 15, 2025. Successful authors will then be invited to submit a full paper by July 15, 2025, in any of the three official languages of the congress. Submissions in multiple languages are encouraged to ensure the broadest dissemination of ideas.
Accepted papers will be presented during poster sessions and included in the official conference proceedings. Exceptional papers will also be selected for oral presentation during the technical sessions of the congress. Prizes will be granted to the best individual papers.
Don’t miss this final chance to contribute to the future of road resilience and winter service!
The deadline for submissions is February 28, 2025.
