Secretary General Jean-François Corté represented PIARC at the 14th Conference of REAAA (Road Engineering Association of Asia and Australasia) and at the meetings of REAAA Council, both held in Kuala Lumpur from 26 to 28 March 2013.

Mr Hermanto Dardak, Indonesia's Vice minister of Public Works, is REAAA's new president for 4 years.

Strengthened cooperation between PIARC and REAAA was confirmed, with the prospect of international joint seminars and the production in 2014 of an edition of the Routes/Roads magazine devoted to road safety issues in Asia and Australasia.
